Maybe the enemy is terrible adsense policy. If adsense were only to pay out if your click-through-er actually purchased the product, you'd earn less, but at least it would be honest and not defrauding the advertiser. It might also encourage companies you've actually heard of to use adsense, and the flybynighters to bug off.

Meanwhile, I simply must check out your "$100,000/month guaranteed" ad. Casey Serin needs 2+ million dollars before he gets sent to jail.

I totally agree with you. I dont think adsense is the problem its just the content that adsense publicizes. In an article in business week, I read that Adsense is going downhill because of fraud and the whole fact that bloggers, like us, are going a different path then adsense. I know that when i get a certain amount of traffic adsense is gone unless they get better advertisers. I would love just to use valueclick, but you need some readers that read and act; instead of just readers. Valueclick is a great system that pays a higher commission, like $15-$200, per click but the user has to sign up for a service. The best thing about valueclick is they only use credible companies.

On the pay for post thing, I think that PPP is somewhat rewarding. I don't like when bloggers totally spam it, but I haven't read a lot of finance blogs that do that. It's just instant money that advertises a service or product that isnt in your sidebar and you don't have to wait for readers to click on it. Same thing as adsense unless the reader is changing his/her views on a certain issue.
