My Heart Broke Yesterday This is the real cost of debt, right here. I honestly think if my job prevented me from being there for my child when he needed me, I would quit that job. I’d rather work at Home Depot for $9 an hour than have my child believe that I didn’t love him with all my heart. Debt presents us all with some terrifying choices. (@ blogging away debt)

Honestly, dear, NO ONE wants to think about Iowa. Except a few democratic presidential candidates, and only every fourth year.
When you think of Iowa you think of The Music Man, American Gothic, corn, and if you’re particularly astute, John Wayne and Herbert Hoover. Even on the TV show M*A*S*H clumsy bumpkin Radar was from Iowa.
