I had this book and didn't like it, so I sold it on eBay a week or two ago (maybe you bought it). I had a post on my blog about a site that pits Jim vs. a Monkey to see how can pick stocks better. Very funny site.

The only thing I pulled out of his book is to do research all the time, like an hour a week, at least. I think this is true, do your own research, do not have people (like Jim) do the research for you.

This sounds like a good book for the strategies of buying stock, what to look for and such. Before, when I've tried to learn about stocks, it's always been along the lines of statistics and what does this variable mean, what does that mean and so on. It's so easy to forget there is a company behind all the numbers, and I think that's something he really focuses on.

Interesting review...I think Cramer is an entertaining guy, and has some really insightful ideas on single stock picking. Not sure about his penmanship for finance-related books. I just read his latest offering, Mad Money, and found it similar to the one you reviewed here.

By the way, I enjoy the blog and look forward to future posts/reviews. Thanks!
