"Can I have this job?" seems a bit blunt. It would be more proper to say "May I have this job," or even "May I have this job, please"... but then you just sound desperate.

Maybe it is better to leave this question out altogether?

As a former hiring manager, my response to "Can I have this job?" (and questions like that) was to laugh and say "You'll find out in a few minutes. wait here while I go talk to the other interviewers." This type of response probably only works when the decision is given to the interviewee within about 15 minutes.

There are better questions to ask.

I'm not sure I agree with the "Can I have this job?"
I think I might be put-off if a candidate asked me that.
