If I didn’t do my chores, I didn’t get my allowance. That seems like a good compromise.

It’s hard as a kid to earn money today. When I was a kid I had paper routs and now they don’t let kids do that anymore, so about the only way a kid can earn anything is to work for their allowance, or wait for Christmas.
