I think RDPD is more of a correct financial mentality and motivation training than anything. I would argue for this reason alone it is in the top personal finance books.

These are basically books I've reviewed for my weekly book review that I no longer wish to keep, with the exception of Random Walk, for which I wound up with two copies and am giving one away. I only have so much room on my bookshelf. Whether I like them or not, someone out there may want them.

And, yes, RDPD is a classic, even though I don't like it. Any book that sells that many copies in a genre like personal finance and is still in print after more than a decade.

I am planning a really cool giveaway to coincide with the end of the 52 Books / 52 Weeks series in early November.

er... Why are you giving away Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and describing it as a top personal finance book and a classic when clearly by your own accounts it isn't?

Btw I do love most of your site, but this give away is a bit puzzling.

10 Money Questions for Skye K; response to Question 2.
I slept on the wood floor in my new apartment after separating from my husband of 24 years. That purchase of a matress and box spring for $99 was the best money I've ever spent. It's 10 years later, I have a new bed and a new life. It was all worth it.

I'd like Suze Orman's book please.
I read your column every day. Thanks for the help.

trent, can I join in even though you won't ship the book to me? I'd be happy for the book prize to go to the next random number if you drew me.
