Also Trent great blog it's been a huge help to the Wife and I there are loads of blogs dedicated to living frugally but none of them are by people who've lived the debt fueled consumer life style so I always found it hard to relate to them. I should add that my wife and I are getting older and she is getting tired of the corporate rat race, we’ve talked about her trading in her trading in her job for something better but nothing pays as well so I’ve said that we need to learn to live on less, this is part of it.

My wife and I had really weird vactions this year, we stayed home. We had orginally had flights hotel car rental booked but utlimatly decided it wouldn't fit in the budget so we cancelled everything. It wasn't easy staying at home, felt more like a long weekend than a real vacation (didn't help that she worked part of it when I was off and I got work in the second part) but ulitmatly this is what holdiays mean on a budget, particularly when you have goals that your reaching for.
