The Simple Dollar Morning Roundup: Food Poisoning Edition 4comments
I suffered from a nasty batch of food poisoning yesterday that I believe was brought on by food poisoning from a cold cut sandwich I ate for lunch on Wednesday. It’s the only thing that I ate differently than my wife and my son that day, and it came on with a huge violent rush and then went away. Anyway, I threw out our mayonnaise just in case.
Give It A Rest, or The Personal Financial Benefits of a Good Night’s Sleep I often operate on less than average sleep and sometimes I feel groggy if I get what is defined as a normal night’s sleep. I honestly believe that if everyone got enough sleep, they would solve half of their own problems automatically. I not only have a tendency to overspend when I’m tired, but I overeat, don’t exercise, and in general, am not productive with either work or my own personal life.
One thing I try to do (I don’t always succeed) is to get off the computer at night – working on the computer tends to get my brain cells jumping around and I immediately lose any interest in sleep. If I read, or even watch TV, however, the sleepiness comes naturally.
I had food poisoning a few weeks ago and lost 5 lbs that I have kept off! See, what a blessing food poisoning is!
