I just used Two Men & A Truck this past month and they were excellent. I cannot recommend them highly enough. We did all the packing ourselves, so they just had to move boxes and a few odd pieces of furniture, but both movers were friendly, professional, and they got everything done in exactly the amount of time that had been quoted to us in our estimate. (No slacking on their part - just a lot of stairs and tight turns to negotiate). It took a lot of the stress out of moving day.

My husband's aunt used Two Men and a Truck. She moved on a wet nasty winter day. They did not take precautions against bringing muck inside. She had to have the carpets at her new place professionally cleaned afterward. I would have expected a professional moving company to take precautions, such as putting a roll of carpet protector down. Everything else about their work was great, though.

Trent,

I get the e-mail version and read it religiously everyday. I really like the way you write and you're book reviews are excellent. Since I don't really have access to books here, I appreciate the depth you go into each one -- and I've actually bought a couple in electronic form (like Getting Things Done) based on your recommendations. So thanks for that.

Now, I was "tagged" and wanted to "tag" you to see what 8 random things you might have to say about yourself that we don't all already know!

Here are the rules...

1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.

Thanks.

My parents used two men and a truck and they thought that they were very professional and would use them again. The movers will help you box things up and move everything but they are paid hourly. So I would suggest doing what we did, before the move we boxed everything up ourselves and had the movers move only the heavy items and things that wouldn’t fit into our vehicles. That was a good way to cut the time that the movers were working.
