A lot of what say hits hard and strong if read 11 yeaars ago I'd never be in many sutuation I am now. I could have discerned truth and lies, acts and actors. I have only read your blog for short while but must say many things hit home. Now there are only few subjects that help enlightening all my situations but I'm sure with in time your touch upon them at some point. And someone to say they read you regularly itself is a great feat as some are known then to never follow through with anything faithfully.

Sharon's comment about the disconnect between her mother's body language and her words was the first time I have heard about this. The college friends who took the time to explain things to Sharon (and she learned) have also, by way of your blog, exposed me and others to the opportunity we may have to teach others to read facial cues and body language. We just assume people pick these things up in everyday life, but some do not. I never thought about helping correct this!

The inability to read cues may well be due to a neurological condition, such as high-functioning autism, or bipolar disorder. Or the person may not have had the opportunity to learn to read facial cues and body language. You would do that person a great favor to sit down and talk with him/her about it and offer to teach them.

My mother often had a disconnect between her body language and her words, and some college friends took the time to explain things to me and I learned.

This seems to hit on so much of what I'm tweaking in my own life. I can look at this list with relief now that I am correcting my flaws and polishing my behavior. But the realizations I've had fall right in line with your summary of the underlying psychological issues. It reminds me of the book I'm reading now, which I found at a flea market: _Advice from a Failure_ by Jo Coudert.

btw, yours is the first blog I have subscribed to and read faithfally, and I have never enjoyed reading a blog more. Thank you.
