A fair point.  Your worst case scenario would be a five-year run of negative years right before you wanted to buy.  But as you point out, you don&#039;t have to buy the house then, that&#039;s the just the goal.  If you are willing to wait out a potentially bad market, then putting more in bonds doesn&#039;t make nearly as much sense.</description>
