How do I keep from getting offers for new cards from the companies I already have cards from?

How do I stop getting those “convience checks” for the cards I already have?

Thanks for the Opt Out article link. I heard of the telemarketing one, but not the credit card one. I was getting tired of shredding up the visa application and mailing it back to the Master Card in their pre-paid envelopes!
