I hate networking! Interesting enough I am basically an extroverted person, who is also an introvert. I tend to be very self-reflective and don't like large gatherings, you have to drag me to them kicking and screaming. I usually do okay once I'm there, I can do the small talk thing - but it's normally so boring I can't wait to leave (thus the dragging myself there kicking and screaming in the first place.) One of the reasons NYC is great, is how much you can bargain in Chinatown for anything. It's great practice and it saves lots of money for souvenirs. I loved the Wise Bread article.
