Andre, I do the same, but I start with http://www.addall.com. They check many sites and usually half.com comes out the cheapest, but sometimes others do.

Your Amazon link to Getting a Life showed “41 used & new” copies available, starting at $0.96, through third party vendors (they use Amazon for transaction processing and pay a commission for it). Like-new condition copies are averaging $4.

Amazon Marketplace and Half.com (eBay) are the first places I look for used books. There’s usually a glut of overstock on the books I’m interested in, so I typically pay less than $5 a book. But I still test drive books from the library before committing to purchasing them.

Your local library should be able to Inter-Libray Loan it for you (ILL for those in the biz).

Insert my plug here for the Northwest Earth Institute – they provide discussion materials for self-organized courses on topics like voluntary simplicity, deep ecology, and developing a sense of place. They’re awesome.
