As weird as it may seem, just about every other day I print off an article or two from TSD and bring them in the bathroom with me at work to read. Then I just leave them folded over the bar in the stall. I’m sure someone else has to be reading them too… maybe even visiting the site for themselves.

When I first started reading TSD I went back and read through all your archived posts. Aside from the whole “compulsive reader” thing, it really helped me understand where you were coming from.

Sections in the right panel are helpful;however, I find your category is over-cluttered. There are simply too many categories and hard to follow.

With Google Reader, you can read your feeds from any computer. With Firefox, you’re dependent on the computer where you have the feeds “bookmarked.”

A frugal tip to save letters:

Use “use” instead of utilize. It does the same thing with more economy and less posturing. :-)

I sort of use an RSS feed; I have The Simple Dollar ‘friended’ on LiveJournal.
I constantly bring your tips up in conversation, and frequently email posts to my husband, and other family and friends. You’re awesome!

I use 1 2 and 6.

Whenever I need advice on some issue, I come to TSD and punch it in the search box.

I also use Google RSS. All my blogs in one spot is very nice.

Last I tll my friends all the time. Especially if a certain topic comes up in conversation. If I can’t remember the specific article I will use the search to find it.

Thanks for mentioning that Article Ideas can be mentioned so in the header and you will take notice. Have sometimes thought of presenting an idea or two like that.

BTW, do you suggest any other subject prefixes for other types of emails which one may want to write to you ? Like a question for your reader mailbag, a recommended reading suggestion for you, a resource link (online tool or a business) which one might think will be useful for The Simple Dollar ?

Also, do you still read all comments personally ? Or the volumes, both your writings and our comments, have gone past that stage of feasibility ?

What’s the advantage of Google Reader over just using the RSS feed within Firefox?

I tried Reader for about 5 minutes once but the interface just looked too busy and hard to follow.

i’m probably the only one who does this, but instead of using rss; i just “follow” a few sites on twitter, including this one. That gives me one less thing to check, one less thing to distract me.

So i would include, “Follow this site on twitter” to your list.

Ha – I don’t know if you have any sort of way of seeing what people search for on your site, but if you see multiple searches for “chicken,” it’s probably me ;)
