I think this time of year we should remember that for many it’s a lonely, sad time. People get consumed with greed and children are spoiled. Take time in your merriment to remember those left behind and use this example to remember the greatest gift ever given.

Although that gift is good to remember every day but it’s perhaps even more timely at Easter.

I can just hear your three-year-old shouting loudly at every sight of Santa Claus. When my oldest was not quite three, he shouted loudly at every sight of a “Gefesturee!” That, of course, was a Christmas tree. Then his language skills took a big leap when he identified “Gefes yites” (Christmas lights). Trent, you are surely treasuring every moment of your children’s lives as they pass so swiftly by.
