I assume you have listened to a wide range of podcasts while looking for your voice. I recommend you listen outside your usual areas of interest, just to shake it up a bit. One podcast I'm quite fond of is for male knitters, of all things, called Y Knit. It's entertaining and clever, and could be a good example from outside your usual box. I'm sure you can find it easily. Good luck!

"By awful, I don’t mean that the recording or material was bad - I mean that they were really boring. Quite frankly, I wouldn’t listen to them."

Trent, you're killing me. I busted up laughing.

Anybody who reads this blog certainly knows you are your own most effective critic and you will do what's necessary to present us accurate information in the most interesting manner possible. Don't worry, buddy, you'll figure it out and we'll all benefit.

I would definitely like to hear some podcasts....

Another idea to add to the "concept" would maybe do it like a radio show and have a "co-host" or guest's for additional perspective on issues you bring up?

Have fun,
Venturing into the podcast arena sounds like a good idea to me!!

Looking forward to it! I write podcast reviews and do interviews with podcasters at my blog, Atomic Podcasts (www.atomicpodcasts.com), and because of my interest in personal fianance and economics, many of my reviews and interviews tend to lean in that direction. Interesting, informative personal finance podcasts are challenging to find, so I'll definitely be on the lookout for yours.

Glad to see the podcast coming along. I've been a big supporter of this for some time now.

Many of my favorite podcasts started off with very short versions. 5-10 minutes. Once we have the earbuds in you can keep our attention for that long no matter how boring it is. Are you starting with shorter podcasts or is your length something more extensive?
