Ahhh yeah! Way to go. I liked hearing what your voice sounded like. I can put a voice to the writing now. My only comment is that when you were being interviewed in your backyard you swayed from side to side a bit. Plant your feet. relax your shoulders, and stay still.

Hey, it’s been quoted in the press — that makes it a fact, right? :-)

If I had a penny for every fact a writer, TV reporter, etc. got wrong I’d be a ba-zillionaire. Just makes you wonder at the accuracy of much of the news we all receive.

Folks must have contacted the station and asked for the video to be posted. But, please! Don’t call and “ask them to rip you a copy”. In this day and age there are no warm bodies sitting around television stations with that kind of free time.

The “1 million hits a day” isn’t entirely accurate. The site actually gets over a million page views a *month*. The reporter got the bit juxtaposed in her notes, I think.

A million hits a day would put The Simple Dollar on the order of the Wall Street Journal. Although that’d be incredible, it’s not accurate in terms of how things stand right now.

For those of you who haven’t noticed, you can see a video of the piece. Here’s how:

1. Go to the link suggested above:

http://www.kcci.com/money/19422676/detail.html

2. Scroll down and look on the right sidebar. About one page now there’s a tab that says “most read” on it and “Huxley Man Shares Money-Saving Advice” is listed as one of the options.

3. At the end of that listing, there’s a little TV camera. Click on that, and the video starts to play above.

At least that’s how I got to see it — not sure it will work for everyone and how long it will be up.
