I’m thankful for the continued good health of all of those I love. I’m thankful for my family, my home, our freedom from debt, and for my health (just recovered from pneumonia). I’m especially thankful for my 12 yr. old son, my only child, who brings me joy, wonder and humor almost every day.

I’m also thankful for you, Trent! So perhaps you’ll tell us what scary illness you were battling last Thanksgiving. Then we can be doubly thankful, not only that you beat it, but that you can be an example of hope to others who come up against it.

And finally, I, too, am grateful that Palin is not Vice-President this year!

I’m thankful for my restored health, for my landing a new job, and for good lifelong friends with whom I shared a meal today.

I’m also thankful for Johanna’s wise words. So often she writes what I am thinking, and takes lots of heat in the process. I raise my glass to toast her, Shevy, Trent, and the rest of the community on TSD. I don’t post often but I read all the time.

Well, I am thankful for my husband, son, our families and friends. We are going through tough times right now. My husband lost his job last week and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes just a few days ago, but I believe that things will get better soon. I have a good job and my husband has a chance to finish his degree in the spring, which he has wanted to do for some time now.

Work! I may cuss it, get filthy from it, occasionally resent it, but by and large, I enjoy it, and will dance through the ritual of cooking Thanksgiving dinner today.
Grateful I can write–it’s something I have had stolen, can give away, and sometimes it helps someone who needs assistance.
Health and technology. I’d be dead (or dead bored) without it. Word processing programs are a continual miracle to anyone who learned typing on a manual machine and hated every moment of its use.
Trent, I’m totally grateful you are writing and making money at it. We learn so much from your experience and interest!

I am thankful for my wonderful husband, who works long hours at a not-fun job to support us and allow me to SAH.

I am thankful for my dad, who nearly died during an illness Thanksgiving 2005. He is still with us, and coming to my home today to share dinner with us.

I am thankful my stepmom won her battle with cancer in 2008.

I am thankful for my two smart, wacky, beautiful children.

I’m thankful for the strength of my wife and my children. Considering the struggles emotionally both of my daughters go through being adopted and coming to terms with their self-worth and self-esteem, we all grow stronger as we learn through each other. My wife also maintains a balance between teaching them the life skills our girls need while also starting the healing that needs to take place with their birth families.

I’m also thankful to have a supportive work environment who know you need to balance career aspirations and a home life.

I’m thankful that throughout all of the financial turmoil, I still get a paycheck every two weeks and I am able to pay all of my bills in addition to being able to save for retirement and my wants and needs.

I am thankful that we have a house and jobs.I am thankful for common sense and the ability to not be so materialistic. I am also thankful for the ability to forgive, because without it life would not be as great as it is.

I’m thankful for my husband, who is truly the best husband and father and always makes our family his first priority. He is up and working hard before dawn to support our family so that I can be a stay-at-home mom.
I’m thankful for our three kids, who have blessed us beyond our wildest dreams.
I’m thankful that even though this economic downturn is far from over, we have plenty of food and a paid-for roof over our heads.
I’m thankful for all those in the military who put their lives on the line to protect our freedom.
And I’m thankful that this little interlude in our political history will most likely come to a screeching halt on Election Day 2010.
