Dear Esther.
A friend of mine went all the way to be a qualified doctor just because she felt she ought to keep going once she started. Now she has made up her mind to do something different.
So if you have any doubts at all do think things through carefully. My result was NEAR my previous job, but not at it. And I really felt that I was fairly good at my job, I valued it, but it definitely wasn't my passion. And the few missing pieces were ultimately quite important. So I think for me the survey is pretty on the money.

Hmmm...I got results identical to Trent's: 85% curiosity, 35% execution, and 33% leadership. Should I be quitting medicine and starting a PF blog, perhaps? :)

Another book I would put right up there is Escape from Cubicle Nation by Pam Slim.

It is awesome in how she details each step of finding your "passion" to actually implementing it in a business scenario and planning for self employment.

I thought I had a pretty good idea of what I would need to do to start my own side business, but her book was full of "ah ha" moments for me.

Highly recommended.

I'm interested to check out The Leap.

This is a book I might recommend to my sister! She is struggling right now with the whole, "What should I do with my life?" dilemma. It also might make a great Christmas gift for her.

thanks for sharing!
