regarding kids stuff... read "Simplicity Parenting" by Kim John Payne. He does a wonderful job making many great points, one of which is to substantially limit the amount of stuff kids have or have access to. This means toys, information, TV, etc.

And thanks, big fan of YMOYL.

Just wanted to say a big thanks for the link to my Dumb Little Man post :-) It always means a lot to me to know that one of mine caught your attention ... I know I'm onto a good'un there.

(Steven, I dunno about all the other blogs Trent features, but DLM - and definitely some of the others - are multi-author blogs, and trust me, this author appreciates the occasional link! So while it might look like the same *blog* names, it could well be a range of writers. I agree it'd be nice to see some extra blogs, but as a blogger myself, I know how hard it is to keep up with more than a handful of blogs!)

@Steven: It's been known to happen. I'm a little-known blogger, and was pleasantly surprised to discover that Trent featured one of my posts a few weeks ago.

Ditto what Ginger said. Trent's typos are almost daily now :-) I think writing the book must have scrambled you a bit!
That said, I love Your Money or Your Life! Woo!

Because I read you at work I can't actually connect to many of the blogs you cite as they are blocked by our filtering software. So I can't actually read "get rich slowly".

That said, the best way I have found to deal with children's mountains is not to disappear their stuff or ask them what they no longer use or can part with. My kids and my friends kids seemed most content when given so much shelf space or so much toy box (whatever) and asked to pick our their very best, most favorite items to keep but they had to fit in the designated space. If there are a few cherished but currently out of favor items, just store them in the garage until the next round and give them another chance. Doing this once or twice a year kept our things nicely under control. Right before Christmas and birthdays works well to clear out space for new treasures.

Have you ever thought of sharing upcoming blogs rather than constantly featuring the same few blogs over and over again each week? It would be nice to see something new once in a while rather than the same old thing week in and week out.

I'm sure the new blogs would appreciate the traffic you could send their way.
