Then, you sleep most of the time until the oldest is 12 (unless they are sick) and then you don’t sleep until the youngest is 22 or graduated from college and has a real job. I’ve had cranky newborn twins and a puppy is just as much work! This summer we got two shelter dogs (both free because they are over 7). SOOO EASY! They came housebroken, good manners, no chewing and lots of love!! Please consider an older shelter dog.

This past week I’ve painted the baby’s room, put together a crib and baby changing station, installed new storage in the garage, emptied the baby’s room – and my list keeps growing!
