Your great article covers so many aspects of day-to-day working issues. I am one of those people who do not accept change graciously. I still use my Day-Timer along with Act and Outlook and an organizer phone (or whatever we are supposed to call this now). When I am speaking to someone on the phone I have to keep notes which is too hard to do electronically. Maybe someday I will take the plunge and try some of the listed suggestions!

I could not agree more related to shifting your work hours. I get to work at 6am. So I begin my morning commute much earlier than other commuters. I love it !!! Very little traffic=much fewer accidents= less traffic jams!!!

You realize that all those "free" services are as expensive as ever, right? It's just that advertisers are footing the bill.

Once you give a piece of data to Google, it's in there forever, just as if you'd posted it publicly for the world to see. And you never know if something you wrote today will come to haunt you in 10-20 years.

You may decide it's OK to use "free" services in spite of the risks, but at least be aware that there are risks, and that there are very serious trade-offs you're making every time you use them.

I read Merrill's book recently as well and also found a ton of helpful tips in it for fine-tuning my personal organization and work habits. I'm so glad you reviewed it here - I feel it should get more attention than it has been thus far.
Trent, in your review, you mention that you've found a way to integrate the weather forecast into your Google Calendar and iCal. Can you provide some info on how you did that? Thanks!
