What’s the next step?” When she breaks it down to small steps, she can do lots of things all by herself. She just can’t always remember what the next step is, and needs a little reminding!

I used to keep a white board that had a list of things I wanted to get done — after a few weeks I’d look up and nothing had changed.

I’ve now gotten into the practice of keeping a daily todo list, and I make sure that everything I write on it has some sort of call to action. “Clean the blinds”, “fix the fan”, “call so-and so about something”.

When I finish a task, this lets me look at the list, and I don’t have to think about what I need to do in order to cross something off the list, I just need to read it and do it.
