i totally agree and have seen great success in my life when i picture and feel the outcome before it has happened. this takes lots of practice and faith but the two combined can be very powerful.

As a parent and a nurse 'reveling in the mundane' speaks to me. I really love both these roles and, consequently, can so thoroughly focus and appreciate the small tasks associated with each of these jobs. What could very well be onerous somehow gets elevated. Now that I think about it, I wish I felt that way about cleaning my house.

Anyway, I've been a happy reader for over a year, just wanted you to know that I've appreciated this series. It puzzles me too that it hasn't drawn more comments.

I've enjoyed and looked forward to each installment in this series. I read Allen's book a year ago and had tried implementing it, but was unable to get it off the ground. I'm doing better this time, I think because of the way its presented and because it helped to read how you use it.

I think the best part of this series for me is the organization and workflow process broken down and implemented. Just the fact that Trent is going through with his own processes is a huge help! The action item mentality is definitely runner up though.

I hate to see this series end. It is an area where all can improve. Your varied and thoughtful writings are timely, insightful and inspirational. Of your topics where I have knowledge/experience, you are right on target, which creates a sense of trust for your writing. I have lived frugally all my life and am still reaping benefits in semi-retirement. I enjoy the challenge of saving--getting great value for my money. I never think "I cannot afford that." Instead, I think, "I choose not to spend for that."

Please begin another similar series to GTD. Organizational tips are always helpful. Continued blessings to you and yours.

What's been a real breakthrough for me in reading this series has been the realization that goals (like "exercise more" or "read Thomas Mann's Magic Mountain") can be broken down into action items (like "go for a swim" or "read Chapter 1 of Magic Mountain"). I love it. It's so liberating, just breaking down everything I want to do into action items to put on a list (or a calendar) and working through them all.

For want of a nail the shoe was lost.
For want of a shoe the horse was lost.
