I did enjoy this article. I do know that actually, GETTING THINGS DONE that need to be done and Facing their meaning is very therapeutic. I wish there was some way for my mom to escape denial and start decluttering her home, a 3 bedroom that is stuffed to the extent that the garage is loaded bottom to top end to end and every space inside is full as well as a shed needed to be built. It is all stuff that she refuses to deal with and instead goes to find more things--perhaps the THING she believes will fill the empty spaces. It is a personal thing. I still tend to Collect, but it is much more focused now and actually useful, things I am willing and able to get done.
THanks for reviewing this book and spelling it out here. Know I am going to have to read it. thanks.

This chapter really hit home for me - I think I should have started with this book rather than the GTD. The language here and the content really help you understand and apply the GTD when you are outside of the business or workplace. It makes it easier to envision non-workplace implementation.
