Cute baby! Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Hubs and I met when we both attended Iowa State (go Cyclones!). It was nice to see the Campanile. Brings back a TON of great memories! Such a beautiful campus. The central portion was designed by Fredrick Law Olmstead the landscape designer. Hubs and I would go for late night walks and we'd picnic in the Dairy Industries building court yard. Very pretty and romantic :)

I've been to two other universities for various degrees and none has been nearly as beautiful as ISU. Also, I found the people that I met from Iowa to be some of the nicest I have ever met. Really good people. Hubs and I have remained friends to this day with many, 25 years later.

Take care and thanks for the trip down memory lane,

"Each week, I highlight ten things each week that inspired me to greater financial, personal, and professional success."

How often do you do this?? ;-)

That said, good list. If you haven't heard Adele, the UK singer, check out "Rolling in the Deep" on YouTube. Extraordinary!

What a Cutie! My 1 year old son has been sick all winter long too. In the last few months he's had a cold, ear infection, stomach flu and the last few days he's had a high fever. I think this is normal though. Babies are still building up their immune systems.

On #6 and off the cuff music and ragtime: last year my husband and I were in jaw-dropping amazement when, after a symphony concert, piano genius Jon Nakamatsu as an encore, started the opening measures of The Entertainer... we laughed. We all thought he was teasing and would then play something serious. He didn't!!! He continued with the Joplin piece, and toyed with the tempo, using his amazing skill to play it as we'd NEVER conceived it could be played. (Not really changing anything, just exploring within the music.) It was memorable! It turned out to be the best part of the evening.

I am so glad you started these weekly posts - I look forward to and enjoy them so much!! It seems there's far too much negativity in our daily lives, and it is imperative that we take a minute every day to consider what is wonderful and inspirational. Thank you very much for making our worlds a little brighter every week. :-)

I loved the film Amadeus and I love Mozart's Requiem.

The George Burns quote kind of sums up how I'm feeling about my writing career (again!). Two years ago I wanted to write but had no idea where to begin. Now I have a beginning, and it's bringing me immense joy and satsifaction. All I need now is a paycheck to match :-D

I use to live in Ankeny, IA and my cousin attended ISU. Seeing the picture of the clock tower just bought back memories of my cousin taking me and my friends there some weekends to just stroll around campus while he got some errands done. I've been to many college campuses but ISU's campus is definitely one of the most beautiful.
