I wish I had read this book back when I had to enroll in my 401k, as a real investing novice. I floundered in all the jargon, and hit on the "retirement" fund as the answer to my problems... then didn't look at it again for years. Finally I had a sharp wake-up call (thanks to my now-husband) when I found out that I had been scrimping and saving to invest in an account for people IN retirement, i.e. extremely low risk so extremely low returns! Arggghhhh! Those were really rough years, and I gave up a lot so that I'd be covered in retirement. I still kick myself about that one, all that lovely compound interest I just... lost. As I said, still kicking myself.
