I just read this a few weeks ago. As someone who can be a bit inconsistent from day to day, it was nice to hear that oscillations are good. At the same time, it weakened my resolve to do the same thing every day; it was enabling in that regard. I think the book should only be read by people who are actually losing energy from working too hard without a break.

“Energy, Not Time, Is Our Most Precious Resource” – except that energy can be renewed, but time is gone once it’s gone by.

I get what the authors are saying, but perhaps it’s more accurate to say that our energy level is our most manageable resource.

Dang. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to accomplish more in my life with slow and steady progress, rather than with short bursts of activity and enthusiasm which leave me wiped out for a few days after.
