Item # 10 is the reason why my father insisted upon no funeral after his death. FTR, he was also cremated. He thought that all funerals do is make people who are uspet to begin with even more upset. Also, he felt that if you couldn't make the time to come and see him while he was(still)alive (out of towners the exception, of course) you didn't need to come and see him once he was deceased.

How right you are about funerals. The mourner who cries the most is always the one who has not seen the deceased for at least 10 years.

Loved the picture of your great grandma too, and the quote fron Mark Twain.

Thanks for some very inspiring words and images.

Trent has expressed Christianity, but seems to be a little off the standard version of it, without having given full details.
But even the most devout Christians can have some doubt, and the bible doesn't actually give any clear answers as to the 'what' and 'how'.
Any Christian who can say they are sure they will get to listen to someone who died before them in the afterlife is getting it out of their head rather than a clear biblical description.

I know you don't talk about your faith on here, and that's fine. But I thought you were a Christian? Am I mixing you with another blogger maybe?

The reason I ask is because of your comment, "If there is an afterlife..."

Christians believe there is, so that's why I was confused.
