I agree with Trent. When I had my first child, people encouraged me to buy Carters because they hold up well. But I reasoned that the kids would outgrow them so quickly, the quality hardly mattered and I think I was correct. On the other hand, nowI particularly try to buy quality items in classic styles for my oldest son because he's got two younger brothers who will eventually wear those clothes. The difficulty is finding out which brands hold up well.

I love my Carhartt gear too. I just bought a new sweatshirt and hat a few weeks ago. The hat (2-in-1 fleece) did wonders for the cold Illinois windy plains! Best $14 investment I've made in a long time.

I also invest in good socks for work. I buy $7/pair Red Wing Boot Socks. In the past 10 years, I've purchased a total of 12-14 pairs. They last a long time too. It was especially hard to find women sized boot socks.

As far as Carhartt discounts, Rural King and Dungaree stores in the midwest usually carries some Carhartt on sale.

By the way, does anyone know any great Coupon Sites for quality goods like the kind Trent has described here? Thanks in advance.
