Chamberlain rest stop is a must if u r traveling the interstate. There is also a native American museum at st joes Indian school there worth seeing.

I highly recommend Custer State Park too — SO MUCH wildlife, in a nice, driveable loop that takes less than 2 hours, and it’s less than an hour from Mount Rushmore. Also not too crowded. My mom and I did these things on a road trip almost 10 years ago and I still remember gaping in awe at the giant buffalo that was taller than my Honda — and right outside the car window!

Trent, I realize you sold the site, but I find it curious that you haven’t commented at all on the stringent comment moderation that’s in place and how it’s impacting the site.
