I’m with lurker carl: lasagna noodles, a few tomatoes, and $2 worth of mozzarella cheese does not make a good lasagna. For one thing, you can’t make a decent sauce out of three tomatoes. For another, a pound of ground beef runs between $4 and $5 per pound. One needs at least to add ricotta cheese to complete the meal. (I also live in Iowa, and I don’t know where you could find a package of mozzarella for only $2.)

We don’t all get to sit at home all day every day so sometimes frozen meals come in handy.

Simply put, time is money. Some days I am too tired to cook and do dishes, so a frozen meal works. Especially when I used a coupon.

I don’t consider bags of curly fries and party pizza to be a complete frozen meal. Nor do I consider the few ingredients listed enough to create a decent lasagna.
