I don’t agree with that idea, but I do think that members of a married couple are entitled to equal quality of life. Whether you achieve that by combining finances or by dividing expenses in proportion to your incomes is up to you.

Q8 I suggest the couple go to the courthouse on a Friday lunch hour, legalize things then go away for the weekend. When they have the time and money take a nice vacation. After several years of cohabiting it’s anti-climactic to make a big splash.
