The Simple Dollar started as a blog on saving money and frugal living, but transformed into a top personal finance blog on the Internet. The next step is to become a destination site for anyone seeking information on any topics related to personal finance. We’re looking for additional people to join Trent and The Simple Dollar team to accomplish this objective. Our goal is simple: We want to set the standard for publishing personal finance content. To do that, we need educated or experienced people who understand personal finance as well as excellent writers.
If you think you can contribute to our mission, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and follow the instructions below. We’re excited about the prospects of working with people who value what we do, but we ask that you don’t apply if you don’t meet the requirements to save us all time. The positions outlined below are remote and open to anyone across the country. You must have the capabilities to communicate with other remote members of our team.
We’re looking for contributors who can write in-depth, high quality articles for The Simple Dollar on a weekly basis. We’re now accepting pitches and full-length articles (approximately 2,000 words or more) on important or relevant financial topics. Regular contributors will be compensated for each published article, but this is not likely a full-time job, although it could be for the right person. The current segments we are seeking content in are: Investing, Small Business, Making Money, Credit and Debt, Insurance, Home and Life, Education, and Saving Money.
Please email us using “Contributor” in the subject line and include pitches, articles, and any other relevant information (PDF resume, URL clips). We put a high value on financial experts with an already established following as well as proven writers who have a track record of promoting engagement.
We’re seeking a consumer-focused writer who has experience reviewing or writing about various products and services. Each article that you will write will become its own product. This is not simple editorial — it is a very specific type of writing that requires exceptional editorial skills, a product and marketing mindset, and knowledge of best SEO practices. You will be responsible for the performance, upkeep, marketing, and interaction of each page you write.
Please email us using “Content/Product Writer” in the subject line and include a resume (PDF), clips (URL), and any other relevant information that explains why you are a great fit for the job.
