The Simple Dollar’s Review
This card, like other travel credit cards linked to major airlines, is great if you are already a frequent flyer of American Airlines. With this card, you earn one AAdvantage mile for every dollar you spend and two miles per dollar on American Airlines flights. Combine this with the miles you earn through and American Airlines frequent flyer membership and you stand to rack up a decent amount of free travel. Plus, you automatically earn back 10% of your points upon redemption. You’ll also enjoy other privileges like one free checked bag, priority boarding, and 25% off eligible in flight purchases.

The card comes with a 30,000-mile bonus when you spend $1,000 in the first three months of membership, which should be enough to earn a round-trip flight in North America. Your miles can also be redeemed for other things, like hotels, car rentals, and merchandise.

But watch out, this card has a foreign currency transaction fee of 3%, so it might not be the best choice for regular international travelers.
If you just received notice that your credit limit has been slashed on one of your credit cards, don't panic. You're not alone. And it's not something you should take personally — even rockstar, top-tier borrowers have seen their limits lowered in recent years. It's frustrating, especially if you rely on your credit card for regular purchases or in...
