If your credit rating is low or non-existent, you may feel like a credit card is completely out of reach. Don’t be...

The Simple Dollar’s Review
There are two things that make the CitiBusiness® ThankYou℠ Card stand apart from the rest. First, it does not have an annual fee, which can likely mean over $100 in savings per year in the world of business credit cards. The second is its reward program: it offers one “ThankYou point” for every dollar you spend – without limits or expiration – but it also offers three times that many points for business-related purchase categories that change every quarter. And unlike some personal credit cards with a similar rewards scheme, the purchase categories don’t change from year-to-year; they are fixed as follows:
- Jan.–March: Office Supply merchants, Advertising services, and Professional services
- April–June: Computer Equipment and Software merchants, Telecommunications merchants
- July–Sept.: Airlines, Hotels, Car Rental merchants
- Oct.–Dec.: Restaurants and Entertainment
So if you can adjust your spending patterns to meet this rotation, you’ll be earning some of the best rewards in the business credit card industry. And if you get a head-start, you’ll earn 15,000 bonus points when you spend $3,000 in the first three months of card membership. The only businesses this card wouldn’t appeal to are large corporations whose employees travel frequently by air, especially overseas. There is a 3% foreign currency transaction fee and no year-round bonus for air travel, like some other business credit cards offer. But if you do most of your business locally and the purchase reward categories look like they could line up with your spending habits, this card can offer some of the best return on its rewards – and for no annual fee!

Without the cash on hand, the customer offered to pay with a credit card. Unfortunately, Jim didn’t...
