Yesterday, I made a complete switch of The Simple Dollar to dedicated hosting. Over the last month or two, the traffic for The Simple Dollar had simply outgrown what my previous hosting service was capable of providing. You’ve probably noticed periods of slowness and some periods of downtime as a result of this. When you start reaching into traffic where you’re seeing a million page views a month, which is where I’m at at the moment, you have to look at making a switch, and so I finally pulled the trigger. Hopefully, you’ll see the site being down far less often and you should also be noticing an uptick in speed as well, particularly during the mid-day crunch when lots of people are perusing the site. Anyway, enjoy, and I hope this will give The Simple Dollar plenty of room to grow from here.
