The Simple Dollar Weekly Roundup: Cold Edition

As I alluded to a few days ago, I’m currently dealing with the worst cold I’ve had in many years. In fact, I haven’t really had a severe cold in many years until this one. This thing, though, it just keeps hanging on.

I don’t quite feel like laying in bed all day, but I don’t really feel like doing all of the normal activities of my life, either. In fact, the one thing I really want is for the coughing to stop, particularly in the evenings and first thing in the morning. I tend to feel something approaching human at the midway point in a given day, but the start of the day and the end of it… not so much.

I just need to keep the focus on getting better and keep up with the things I need to get done each day and eventually I will recover.

Are You Focused on Today or Tomorrow? I think this might just be the central question of personal finance. It is really hard to build financial success if your focus is solely on today. (@ my dollar plan)

Unintended Consequences of a Move Whenever you move, you change a lot of the little routines in your life. Changing all of those routines can have some real unintended consequences. (@ get rich slowly)

Positivity versus Negativity Is a Question of Focus So much of life’s success and failure has to do with the attitude with which we approach things. (@ pick the brain)

A Case Against New Years’ Resolutions Change should be brought about by your internal cues, not the flip of a calendar page. (@ unclutterer)
